The Anti-Corruption academy of Nigeria (ACAN) in collaboration with the UNDP recently organised a week long training on Early Warning, Early Response and Peace Architecture, for officials of the Plateau State Peace Building Agency. Representative of the UNDP Kehinde Osotemehin, disclosed that the UNDP is implementing the project, “Promoting Women’s Engagement in Peace and Security in Northern Nigeria”, in three states, which includes Adamawa, Gombe and Plateau.
The training programme which held from 11 -15 June 2018 at the Crest Hotel in Jos focused on developing participants in Grantsmanship, Essentials of Project Management, Early Warning Detection and Data Management, Negotiation and mediation processes & Skills among others.
It is expected that the gains of the training would see participants perform more effectively in their work of peace building in the country
