The Provost of Adeyemi College of Education Ondo, Professor Olukoya Ogen has called on the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to continue with its laudable initiatives in the fight against corruption.
He made the call during the inauguration of the members of the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Monitoring Unit (ACTU) of the College by ICPC. Prof. Ogen commended ICPC for its effort in institutionalizing integrity in government agencies and therefore pledged his institution`s support to the success of the Unit and the fight against corruption.
Prof. Ogen said “……..this college has always operated a policy of zero tolerance to corruption and this has resulted in the college being designated as the zonal centre for the dissemination of Anti-Corruption policy by ICPC.”
The ICPC Chairman Mr. Ekpo Nta, while delivering a goodwill message through Mr. Justin Kuatsea, stated that the ACTU was not established to witch-hunt anyone but to work with the management and other staff in entrenching transparency in the running of the affairs of the college.
Also speaking at the inauguration, Mrs V.O Akindehin, the Chairperson of ACTU, said she appreciated the support of the Provost and management staff of the college in ensuring the inauguration of the Unit.
